Ed Morse - Florida Gateway College
Coach
Coach Ed Morse has been running about 45 years and coaching about 17 years. Ed is in second year as the Florida Gateway College men’s head coach. He has been an assistant coach for FGC’s Women’s Cross Country Team since 2018.
Morse’s pre college experience includes serving as assistant coach for Columbia County Eye of the Tiger AAU Running Team from 2007 to 2013(state XC champs 2011, 2012, runner up 2013), coaching running for Nike’s US Sports Camps from 2010 to 2018 and again in 2022, and 2023, serving as Assistant Coach for Distance for both boys’ and girls’ cross country and track teams at Columbia High School from 2013 to 2017 taking several runners and teams to Florida 3A runners.
Outside of coaching Ed Morse is LTC with the Florida National Guard, (COL select), Dentist for 30 years, published author of 9 books, and proud father of 3.
