Emilie Selvidge
Emilie Selvidge is the Assistant Coach at Charleston Southern University.
Emilie Selvidge enters her second season with Charleston Southern in the 2024 season. In January she was promoted to be the team's assistant coach after arriving in the summer of 2023 as a graduate assistant coach ahead the 2023 season following her graduation from Florida College.
In December of 2023, she was named to VolleyballMag's “College Coaching Hotshot” list. This listed the top 50 up-and-coming coaches in the country across men's and women's college indoor and beach programs with Selvidge being amongst these honorees.
With the Falcons as a student-athlete, she was selected the CAC Setter of the Year in her final two seasons, earning First-Team All-Conference honors in each. During the fall of 2022, under Head Coach Carry Brown, she helped lead the team to their first NAIA CAC Championship for the program and was selected as an NAIA All-American Honorable-Mention. The team finished with a 28-10 record, the most wins in the five years under Brown.
Selvidge holds the program record for career assists at Florida College with 2,356. She ranked first in the CAC in assists for the 2021 and 2022 seasons as well posting 1,119 in her senior season. She set her career-high in assists with 51 against Union College on August 20, 2022.
