Eric Frazzetta, head coach for both the men's and women's golf teams at Holy Names University (Oakland, Calif.) the last two seasons, was named Duan Family Men's Assistant Golf Coach in May 2023.

"We are delighted to announce the addition of Frazzetta to our coaching support team," said Phil Rowe, who recently completed his third season as head coach of Cal Poly's men's golf team. "Eric has been running a men's and women's program for the past two years, so he will be ready to make contributions in all facets.

"Furthermore, his experiences make him a great companion for our players at this exciting juncture for our program as we get acclimated to our strong tournament schedule and contend among the best players on the most outstanding courses in all of collegiate golf," Rowe added.

Frazzetta was named Pacific West Conference women's coach of the year after guiding the 2022-23 Holy Names women's golf program to the PacWest championship and a berth in the NCAA West/South Super Regional Championships in Dallas. The Hawks finished third in the conference in the 2021-22 season.

Frazzetta also coached the Hawks men's program to back-to-back third-place conference finishes before the university ceased operations in June.

Prior to his position at Holy Names, Frazzetta was an assistant coach at Sonoma State, working with the men's program from 2018-20 before adding duties with the women's program as well for the 2020-21 season.

During his tenure at Sonoma State, he helped guide the team to consecutive NCAA Division II National Championship berths. He developed game plans, practice routines, and course management. During Frazzetta's time at Sonoma State, he coached two All-Americans and eight Academic All-Americans.

Before joining the Seawolves' coaching staff, Frazzetta played professionally on various mini tours around the world. He traveled to 23 states and three different countries during his five-year professional career and played on the Mackenzie Tour in Canada as well as the China Tour in 2015, making the cut in two of six career events and earning $6,406 in the two tours combined.

A Long Beach Poly High School graduate, Frazzetta played golf at Chico State from 2008-12, twice capturing All-American and Academic All-American awards. During his career at Chico State, he helped lead the team to third-place and runner-up finishes at the national championships.
