Eric Murdock, Jr. joined head coach Matt Goldsmith’s staff prior to the beginning of the 2018-19 season. Before trading in his basketball shoes for a suit and tie, he was a four year standout for The College of New Jersey. Murdock Jr. is one of the top players ever to play for the Lions.
He owns the career assist record for TCNJ by a wide margin, as he tallied 512 dimes which is 129 more than the second-highest finisher. He also ranks third in scoring for TCNJ program history with 1,550 points on his career. Murdock, Jr. additionally stands eighth on the all-time TCNJ rebounding list with 514 boards on his career.
For his career, Murdock, Jr. averaged 14.8 points per game, along with 4.9 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game in 105 starts. Murdock, Jr. was a three-time First Team All-New Jersey Athletic Conference recipient, and he was also a three-time All-Region honoree.
