Eric Nelson

Eric Nelson has been coaching since 1993 at Pensacola Catholic HS, and became head coach in 1998, coaching both boys and girls XC and track and field teams. Accolades include Pensacola News Journal XC Coach of the Year, four times, as well as many district and regional team titles.
Individual accomplishments include running in high school in North Easton, Mass. - PR of 13:08 (2.7 course), ran four years on scholarship at the University of West Florida, qualified for two NAIA national XC meets and three NAIA national marathons, 25th in Collegiate National Marathon (NAIA) Abbotsford, BC 1991 and being 44th in the USATF Men's 15k Championships 1992. Coach Nelson has been a staff coach for five years at SMRC.
