Evan Silberstein is the Head Beach Volleyball Coach at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

After seven years of helping build the UH beach volleyball program into a national contender as an assistant coach, Evan Silberstein took over the helm as head coach prior to the 2022 campaign. The winning has continued under Silberstein with three NCAA appearances and a Big West title in 2024.Has led the BeachBows to NCAA Tournament appearances in each of his first three seasons as the head coach.

Guided UH to the 2024 Big West title, the program’s fourth Big West title overall and first since 2018. Has aided in the development of a dozen All-Americans, including four during his time as head coach. Has coached more than two dozen all-conference players at UH, including the school’s all-time wins leader (118) in Ari Homayun.As an assistant coach, helped UH attain the school’s first-ever No. 1 ranking (2015), win three straight Big West titles (2016-18) and earn four straight NCAA bids (2016-19).Also helped the program to a single-season school-record 37 wins in 2018 and come within one match of playing for the national title in consecutive years (2017, ‘18) PLAYING EXPERIENCEArizona State, 1996-98


PLAYING HIGHLIGHTS

Competed on the professional beach circuit, including the AVP, as well as international competitions in Mexico, Canada, Jamaica, Guam, and Saipan. Won a gold medal in the 2001 Macabiah Games in Israel.Was the starting setter and captain for the Sun Devils’ nationally-ranked collegiate club program.
