Frank Giannino holds the Guinness Book Record for the fastest crossing of America on foot: (1980) 46 days 8 hours 36 minutes from San Francisco to New York City, an average of 67 miles per day.
This accomplishment empowered Frank and his friends to create and direct the 1981 Orange Classic 10K, one of the top 10K road races in the United States. In 2005, Frank and his friends re-branded the Orange Classic which is now known as the Classic 10K. Since 1984, Frank has been the owner of a specialty running store in Middletown, New York, called Frank’s Custom Shoe-Fitting. Over the last 30 years, Frank has helped over 100,000 individuals in their effort to lead a healthier lifestyle through running by helping them overcome their shoe-fitting issues. Since 1981, Frank has been instrumental in assisting and developing dozens of running and triathlon events. He will be talking with campers on shoes, shoe-fit problem solving, including many tricks of the trade. The goal is to help each athlete better manage their foot gear to address concerns before they cause a serious problem.
