This past season the Cougars won more WAC conference matches than the program has totaled since joining the conference in 2013. The Cougars also made program history with their first BIG 10 victory as they defeated Rutgers 3-0. During Manos’ tenure the Cougars have consistently improved their RPI and national rankings, improving 50+ spots since joining the staff in 2016. With their improved success 2018 marked the highest attendance total in program history.

During the season Manos was responsible for opponent scouting, statistical analysis and film review while he assisted with game planning, practice planning, training and travel accommodations. In the offseason Manos coordinated the strength and conditioning program alongside skill and positional training for all positions. He assisted in team practice, recruiting, fundraising, compliance and summer camps.

In the 2017 season the Cougars held the second best team record in school history, broke the school win streak and had multiple players break individual single-season school records. At the end of the season the team was awarded to the AVCA Academic Honor Roll for upholding a team GPA of a 3.7/4.0.

In his first season, the Cougars won more Division 1 matches in a single season since 2007. The team snapped a 47-match conference losing streak and earned their first WAC victory since they joined the conference in 2013. From the prior conference season the Cougars improved in nearly every statistical category and tripled their set wins. 7 players from the 2016 team were named to the WAC and AVCA All-Academic Team.

Manos has coached youth volleyball since 2010 for 1st Alliance Volleyball Club, Energy Volleyball Club, Hoosierland Volleyball Club and Evanston Township High School. His responsibilities expanded over time but he always played a key role in team training and player development.

Manos earned his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University in 2013 with a double major in Business Management and Entrepreneurship/Corporate Innovation. While enrolled at IU he played on the men’s club volleyball team and assisted the program in earning second and third place team finishes within their respective divisions at the 2011 NCVF National Tournament.
