Assistant Women's Soccer Coach - Johns Hopkins University
Greg Ridout
Ridout enters his 3rd season at Johns Hopkins this upcoming fall, having assisted the Women’s Soccer team to an NCAA National Championship in 2022.
In his first two seasons, he coached numerous all-conference selections, including 2 rookie of the year honorees, 10 all-region players, 4 All-Americans, 41 academic honor roll, and 4 academic All-Americans. During that time the Johns Hopkins coaching staff has garnered Centennial Conference Coaching Staff of the Year and United Soccer Coaches National Coaching Staff of the Year. Previous to Johns Hopkins, Ridout guided DeSales University to MAC Freedom postseason play in each of his five years as Head Coach, winning the conference championship in 2015 and earning MAC Freedom Coach of the Year honors. Under his guidance as head coach, the women’s program set school records in almost every statistical category and is currently the all-time leader in wins.
Ridout holds a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership, United Soccer Coaches National, Advanced National, and Premier Coaching Diplomas, and will be entering his 20th year coaching youth soccer camps!
He currently resides in Baltimore City with his wife, Trina Ridout, son Miles, and daughter Charlotte.
