Gus Serrano
Staff - Goalie Coach
On staff this summer is Gus Serrano. Coach Serrano has over 25 years of playing and coaching lacrosse experience.
His pre-college lacrosse experience includes playing for state contender Troy Athens HS and box lacrosse throughout Ontario, Canada. He played for NCAA DII, Northwood University ('92-'96) where he was a 4-year starter and three-time captain as an attacker and goalkeeper, which he earned D2 All-American Honorable Mention honors.
After college he played on several post-college travel teams including LPLC based out of Chicago. Upon relocating to the San Diego, Coach Serrano Coached the Bonita Vista Barons and let them to three straight league championships and CIF playoff appearances.
Coach Serrano has been the Our Lady of Peace’s head coach the past four seasons which included 3 CIF playoff appearances, 2 consecutive CIF Finals appearances, and 1 CIF-SD Championship. He also coaches women’s lacrosse team at UCSD where they compete in the WWLL, as well as for the West Coast Starz lacrosse club. He coaches both the offensive and defensive sides of the field and specializes in goalie training.
