Hyrum Keime - Camp Coach

Hyrum Keime is the Assistant Volleyball Coach at Florida Southern College

Hyrum Keime returned to the FSC sidelines prior to the 2024 season as an assistant coach after departing the College following the 2022 beach season. He was named as the first head coach in the history of Florida Southern's beach volleyball program following the announcement of the addition of beach volleyball in 2017. Keime spent five seasons as the head coach of the program ending following the 2022 season.

He also spent 10 seasons as an assistant coach for the Florida Southern indoor volleyball program. In his first four seasons, Keime was part of a coaching staff that helped lead the Mocs to four-straight NCAA Division II Tournament appearances, including a national runner-up showing in 2017 and regional runner-up finishes in 2015 and 2016.

While on the FSC staff, Keime has helped coach several AVCA All-Americans, All-South Region, and All-Sunshine State Conference performers.

PRIOR TO FLORIDA SOUTHERN:

Keime came to Florida Southern after spending two seasons as a volunteer assistant coach at Nova Southeastern. In 2007, he served as a volunteer assistant coach at Redland Christian Academy in his hometown of Homestead, Fla. Prior to that, Keime was the head junior varsity coach and varsity assistant at Timpanogos High School in Orem, Utah.

Before entering the coaching ranks, Keime played club volleyball at Utah Valley University, where he was named as the 2010 Mountain Valley Conference MVP and was a second-team all-American at the 2012 National Club Volleyball Federation (NCVF) Championships.

As a high-school athlete, Keime played for the USA Volleyball Junior Olympics beach volleyball squad in 2000, placing fifth at the national tournament.

Along with his coaching and athletic achievements, Keime has also served his country as a member of the United States Army. After graduating from the Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) program in 2010, Keime served as an officer in Afghanistan from 2012-13 as part of Operation Enduring Freedom.

He earned his bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University in 2010.
