Jacob Van Dam
Assistant Softball Coach
Coach Van Dam enters his first season as the new Assistant Softball Coach for the Polars. A standout dual-sport athlete at Crown, Coach Van Dam had decorated careers in both baseball and men’s basketball. Now, he’s ready to bring his competitive edge and passion for the game to the softball field.
In his new role, Coach Van Dam will serve as Recruiting Coordinator and Bullpen Coach, while also managing game day operations and contributing to all areas of the program’s development.
Coach Van Dam brings a deep understanding of pitching strategy and pitch sequencing, and he’s eager to continue learning the fast pitch game while helping build something special with the Polars.
Jacob is married to Kaya, who works at Crown in Admissions. We are excited to have them join the Polars Softball family! Jacob serves as the Assistant Athletic Director for Communications and Operations at Crown College and brings a great understanding of positive Crown culture to the team.
