Jaime Snyder

Jaime Snyder is the Assistant Volleyball Coach at the University of Hartford.

Jaime Snyder enters her second season as a member of the Hartford volleyball team’s coaching staff in 2020. Joining the staff as an assistant coach in March 2019, Snyder brings four years of collegiate coaching experience to Hartford after stints at Smith College and St. John’s Fisher College.

Before landing at Hartford, Snyder spent two seasons as a graduate assistant coach at Smith College, where she earned a master’s degree in exercise and sports studies in 2018. Specializing in the team’s defensive strategy, she also assisted with practice planning, recruiting logistics and alumni relations while contributing to the program’s fundraising efforts.

Snyder arrived at Smith College by way of St. John’s Fisher College, where she served as an assistant coach from 2015-17. During her time with the Cardinals, she helped the team make an eight-win improvement, as the team posted a 22-9 record in her final season. Snyder also served as head coach for the Volley FX Volleyball Club, leading the 14-1’s to a Junior National Championship bid.

Prior to her coaching career, Snyder was a four-year starter for the volleyball team at SUNY Brockport. She was named SUNYAC First Team All-Conference in 2012, 2013 and 2014, while also serving as a team captain in each of those seasons. In addition, Snyder, who was tabbed the league’s Rookie of the Year in 20, ranks in program’s top-five in career digs (1,458), digs in a season (644) and digs in a single match (50).

During her time at SUNY Brockport, Snyder also served as vice president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). She graduated from SUNY Brockport in 2015 with a degree in exercise science.
