Jared Marks is the Head Coach at Christian Brothers University.

Christian Brothers University Director of Athletics Chris Parker announced Jared Marks as Head Volleyball Coach on Wednesday, Feb. 7.

"We are very excited to hire Jared Marks as our Head Volleyball Coach," said Parker. "Throughout the process it was evident that his passion for coaching volleyball, his high energy and work ethic, and the network he has on the club circuit are what we need for this program. We look forward to seeing his plans make a difference in both our volleyball program and the lives of our student-athletes."

Marks comes to CBU after spending six seasons as Head Volleyball Coach at Saint Agnes Academy in Memphis. During his time at Saint Agnes, Marks has lead the team to a Region Championship in three of the last four seasons, and a state tournament qualifier during all six campaigns. His 2023 squad was the TSSAA DII-AA Girls' State Volleyball Championship runners-up.

"I am honored to be chosen as the next head coach of the Christian Brothers volleyball program," said Marks. "I want to thank Coach Parker, President Archer, and the search committee for this opportunity. I am beyond excited for the journey ahead!"

Since 2014, Marks has also been the Master Coach, Recruiting Coordinator for Memphis Metro JVC. During his time at Memphis Metro, Marks has been the head coach for club's top team in the 13-18 year old age groups. In 2022, Marks helped guide the club to a second place finish at the Mid-East Qualifier (USA Division) and a fifth-place finish at the USAV 18 Nationals.

The Pittsburgh, Pa., native studied for one semester at Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic. Marks then received a Bachelor of Science in Finance, with a minor in International Business from Penn State University. He also spent four years as a teacher in the Shelby County and Green Dot Public School systems (Hamilton, Fairley).
