Jason Guthrie

With 27 years of coaching experience, Jason Guthrie brings an abundance of knowledge to the Co-Lin coaching staff as he begins his seventh year at the helm of the Wolves’ backfield.

Prior to joining the Co-Lin staff, Guthrie coached championship quality teams at both the high school and university level. As the Offensive Coordinator, he helped lead Brentwood High (Brentwood, Tenn.) to a 5A state title in 2002. After just three years at the high school level, Guthrie became the assistant offensive coordinator for Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. During his 10-year tenure at Trinity, he helped lead the Tigers to five SCAC Conference Championships. Guthrie also spent three years at Millsaps College in Jackson, Miss. and helped the Majors claim the SAA Conference Championship in 2013 as the offensive coordinator. He not only provides offensive expertise but recruiting experience and connections to help bolster Co-Lin’s presence in the Southeast.

Guthrie is a graduate of Kentucky Wesleyan College with a Bachelor of Science in history/education and a minor in psychology where he was a wide receiver and tight end. He has a master’s degree in education from Trinity University. Jason and his wife, Sarah, reside in Brookhaven and have twin daughters Harper and Edie, and a son, Tucker.
