Jean-Paul Hebert
Former All-America selection, and 2020 Jan Strickland Outstanding Assistant Coach Award recipient Jean-Paul Hebert (JOHN-PAUL A-bear), serves as head coach for the UNLV men's golf program.
Hebert comes to Las Vegas after serving as assistant coach for the University of Texas' men's golf program for the past eight years. He helped lead the Longhorns to the 2022 National Championship earlier this month and was also a part of the program's national title team in 2012. A former All-America selection as a student-athlete, Hebert was named the nation's top assistant in 2020 when he earned the Jan Strickland Outstanding Assistant Coach Award.
Hebert has supported the development of several more All-Americans including Beau Hossler, Scottie Scheffler, Gavin Hall, Doug Ghim, Steven Chervony, Cole Hammer, Pierceson Coody, and Parker Coody, has seen 21 more team victories, 21 more individual wins, and three more Big 12 titles. At the NCAA level, the Longhorns have collected top-5 finishes in four of the past five championships, including runner up finishes in 2016 & 2019. While the 2020 season was cut short, the squad was credited with a final team ranking of No. 4 in the country.
