Jessica Cavolt

Jessica Cavolt is the Assistant Field Hockey Coach for University of Rochester.

After a four-year playing career and three more seasons coaching the sport, Jessie Cavolt has joined the University of Rochester as an assistant coach in field hockey. She had a highly successful career as a goalkeeper at the University of Mary Washington in Virginia before moving to Salisbury University in Maryland as an assistant coach.

She joined the Salisbury staff in August, 2019. She created and implemented practice plans for goalkeepers in their training sessions. She assisted with recruiting and video analysis. Under her tutelage, goalkeeper Dom Farrace was named the Coast-to-Coast Conference Player of the Year in 2021 and a First Team All-American in 2019. Salisbury reached the Final Four in 2019.

Cavolt began her coaching tasks as the High Voltage Field Hockey Club Goalkeeping Coach in Fredericksburg, VA where she offered feedback to players aged Under 14 to Under 19. She worked in Delmar, DE for the Shore Byrds Field Hockey Club Goalkeeping coach since November, 2019. Last summer she was a coach at the Revolution Field Hockey Camp in Virginia and Maryland. She instructed players aged U12-U19 on skill levels from beginner to advanced.

She earned her baccalaureate degree in history from the University of Mary Washington in 2019 and her master's in education from Salisbury in 2021.

As a four-year starter at Mary Washington, she accumulated 333 saves for a program that was ranked nationally in her first three years (2015-2018). She appeared in 71 games in that period (69 starts) with a career record of 44 wins and 22 losses with 11 shutouts. UMW was ranked as high as #11 in 2015 (14-5), #12 in 2016 (12-6), and #14 in 2017 (12-8).

She was a two-time all-conference section at UMW (2015, 2018). She was selected to the NFHCA Division III Senior All-Star Game in 2018. She was named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad for three consecutive years, 2016-2018.
