Ventoza Bio

Coach Ventoza will make a guest appearance to coach at camp.

Jessica Ventoza became the eighth head coach of the softball program at Stanislaus State in June of 2015. She started her post on July 14, 2015.

In her first season as the Warriors' head coach, Ventoza led the team to a 25-28 record, the best since 2009. In 2017 Warrior softball finished the season 23-32 and had three All-Conference honors.

Before joining the Warriors Ventoza was a member of the 2009 NCAA Championship team as a senior infielder at the University of Washington. She was a two-year letter-winner on the Huskies team.

Prior to joining Washington, Ventoza was a two-time all-region all-star at the Community College level. In 2007, She earned the all-region honor at Western Nebraska Community College in Scottsbluff, Neb. In 2006, she was a first-team all-region star at Highline Community College in Des Moines, Wash.

Most recently, Ventoza served as the first-assistant to Amy Suiter at Western Washington in Bellingham, Wash. In two years with Ventoza on the staff, the WWU Vikings went 53-37 and advanced to the GNAC Championship game this past season before ending with a 30-14 record.

Ventoza was the head coach at Decatur High School and directed the Federal Way Mosquito Select Team for three seasons (2011-13) while working as an information specialist for the National Cancer Institute based in Seattle's Fred Hutchinson Research Center from 2010 to 2013.

In 2010, Ventoza served as a graduate assistant coach at Central Methodist University (Fayette, Mo.) while completing her master's degree in education. She earned a bachelor's degree in sociology at Washington in 2009.

Ventoza is originally from Seattle and attended Seattle Christian High School.
