Joe Schaumburg was named Head Men's Basketball Coach at Linn-Benton Community College in Albany, OR in April of 2019. Coach Schuamburg is a veteran Nike Basketball Camp Director and has over 20 years of coaching experience at the youth, high school, community college, and four-year collegiate levels. Schaumburg is a certified trainer for the Positive Coaching Alliance and founder of Positive Step Athletics, a basketball training program that focuses on leadership, mental skills training, and using basketball as a tool to develop the mind, body, and spirit of players.

Schaumburg previously worked as an Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at Pacific University, Lewis & Clark College, and Western Oregon University. He has worked at numerous camps and clinics all over the West Coast and traveled to the Caribbean with the Kerosene Lamp Foundation to work their Academics and Athletics Island Youth Camps which target at-risk youth. He has also studied under and worked extensively with Graham Betchart, Director of Mental Training at Lucid (formerly Play Present). Campers will get to experience some of the same teaching about the mental side of the game as elite NBA players.

Schaumburg has a bachelor's and master's degree, both from the University of San Francisco.
