John Montgomery

Native to Pittsburgh, PA, John L. Montgomery III stands as an elite figure in the professional golf and coaching worlds. Recognized by Golf Digest as one of the 'Best Young Coaches in America,' John is best known for his distinctive coaching style that champions the foundation of golf.

John's mission is to inspire the next generation of golfers through a quarter-century of expertise, share his passion for the game, and offer high-quality coaching that melds innovative technology, performance measuring, and the spirit of sportsmanship. After a dedicated collegiate career at Alabama State University, John played as a full-time professional with numerous championship titles. This includes being a SWAC Medalist (2009), a SWAC Champion (2012), and a 4X SWAC first-team all-conference. John's passion soon materialized into coaching, including in South Korea for two years. This is complemented by becoming a PGA Associate, a USKids-certified coach, Scott Cowx certified, and TrackMan certified Level 1 and 2. He has worked with players on all major tours worldwide, such as PGA, LPGA, Korn Ferry Tour, and Latin American tour, among others. During this time, John coached multiple Juniors who have competed and won on the US Kids tour, and several of his junior students have since gone to the best D1 and D2 colleges in the USA. Beyond the green, John’s social media presence has attracted a community of over 50,000 followers on Instagram, and his 6 video series “Through the Bag” on Golf Channel’s Golf Pass and appearance on the Golf Channel's Swing Expedition with Chris Como brought his expertise to a global audience
