John Shorey
Camp Director
John Shorey serves as Head Coach for the Jesuit Rugby Varsity team. John helped start the JHS Rugby program over 22 years ago and has led the team to nine national titles in 15 appearances.
In addition, Shorey has seen hundreds of players go on to play in college and several make an impact in the Rugby World Cup with the US Eagles National Team. Shorey is a Level 200 USA Rugby Coach. He attended UC Davis where he played linebacker for three seasons as the Defensive Captain before taking up the game of rugby. Shorey played 20 seasons with the Sacramento Capitols Men’s Rugby as team Captain and toured with California Bald Eagles to France and Canada.
