John Toffey

The name John Toffey may be familiar to both baseball and hockey fans. John was drafted by the Colorado Rockies ( MLB) and Tampa Bay Lightning (NHL.) These days, John is known as a New England boarding school admissions professional and baseball coach. In 11 seasons as a high school baseball coach his teams have won 8 New England championships. Toffey was named one of the most influential baseball coaches by The New England Baseball Journal.

Coach Toffey played collegiately at both The Ohio State University and UMASS-Amherst. He was named to the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll each season he competed. He was also a member of the Bourne Braves in the prestigious Cape Cod Baseball League. In addition to coaching baseball at The Winchendon School, Toffey serves as the schools Director of Admission. As a Varsity Baseball Head Coach Toffey has a prep school record of 172 – 15. Coach Toffey's younger brother Will is currently in the New York Mets organization after an All- American career at Vanderbilt University. This camp promises to be a one of a kind experience. Additional staff members have played and coached professionally and in college. We look forward to welcoming you to Winchendon for a memorable week of baseball!
