Jordan Anderson

Jordan Anderson begins her first year at Marietta College as assistant women’s lacrosse coach in 2017-18. She is the first assistant coach in program history, as the Pioneers will take the field for their inaugural women’s lacrosse season during the 2018-19 school year.

Anderson comes to Marietta after completing her collegiate playing career in basketball and lacrosse at Morrisville State College, an NCAA Division III member of the North Eastern Athletic Conference in Morrisville, New York. Anderson played three years of lacrosse and spent four seasons on the hardwood.

A midfielder and defender in lacrosse, Anderson served as the Mustangs’ team captain her senior year. Morrisville captured NEAC championships and advanced into the NCAA Tournament in 2015 and 2017. Anderson was named first team All-NEAC and the conference Defensive Player of the Year as a junior and senior.

A four-year starter and captain on the women’s basketball team, Anderson led NCAA Division III with 203 assists in her final season. She was named first team All-NEAC as a junior and senior and was the league’s Rookie of the Year in 2013-14. Anderson finished her career as the Mustangs’ career leader in games played, field goals, free throws, points, assists, and steals.

Anderson received a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Performance and Health Promotion from Morrisville State College in 2017. She is certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).

Anderson has worked as a counselor with the Hoop Mountain Basketball Camps and as a volunteer coach with the Unadilla Valley Central School. In addition, she has completed strength and conditioning internships with Hamilton College, Colgate University and Morrisville.

A native of West Edmeston, New York, Anderson was a standout three-sport athlete at Unadilla Valley. She earned all-conference honors in basketball, soccer and softball.
