Josh Cole

Josh Cole enters his fourth season as an assistant coach for the Arizona Christian University Firestorm. He also serves as the head coach of the ACU prospect development team.

Prior to ACU, Coach Cole coached five seasons at the high school level. Most recently three years as assistant varsity coach and head JV coach at Deer Valley High School under Jed Dunn. During Coach Cole's three years at Deer Valley he was a part of two playoff teams and two 20 win seasons. As the head JV coach, Cole compiled a 37-17 record.

Collegiately, Cole played four seasons for the Firestorm (2009-2012). Cole was a four year starter, three year captain, and all conference his senior year in 2011-2012. During his time with the Firestorm he led the team each of his four seasons in steals and assists. Cole started every game of his college career for the Firestorm.

After graduating from Arizona Christian University, Coach Cole went to work the Fellowship of Christian Athletes for four years and served as the ACU Men’s Basketball chaplain for five seasons before joining the staff as an assistant coach. After working for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Cole served as a Math Teacher at Washington High School.
Coach Cole is originally from the Phoenix area where he graduated from Westview High School in Avondale in 2007. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Arizona Christian University in Education highly qualified in Math.

Coach Cole is married to his wife, Jessica, who also attended Arizona Christian University and played for the women’s basketball program. They have been married since the Fall of 2012 and live Phoenix.
