Juliana Santos
Camp Director
Santos joined the Penguins in fall 2016 ahead of the 2017 season. Additionally, she is associate director at All American Sports Academy, where she runs clinics for defense and hitting.
Prior to joining Dominican, Santos was an assistant coach at Stanislaus State for the 2014 season. Before that, she served as the varsity head coach at Modesto's Gregroi High School. She was also an assistant coach at the club level for the Ripon Rampage.
Santos was a 2009 NFCA All-South Region First Team selection at Louisiana State, where she was a four-year starter, mostly at shortstop. In 213 games, Santos recorded 148 hits with 27 doubles, 86 RBI, 64 walks, and 30 stolen bases. The Tigers appeared in the NCAA Championships all four seasons that Santos was on the team, including a Women's College World Series appearance in 2012. That season, she earned All-Louisiana Honorable Mention and 2012 SEC Academic Honor Roll. She was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team and All-LSWA Honorable Mention in 2009.
A two-time Conference MVP at Orestimba High School in Newman, California, Santos led Orestimba to two sectional championships and an undefeated season in 2007. In 2008, she was named Small School California Player of the Year and Sacramento Bee Player of the Year after hitting .667 with 11 home runs, and 55 RBI, and 21 doubles.
