KU has reached the postseason in nine of the last 10 seasons with Hallman as assistant coach, while hosting the PSAC Final Four, qualifying for the NCAA Tournament and winning a school record 26 games in 2022.

KU student-athletes have earned 13 All-PSAC honors dating back to 2012. Hallman leads on-floor coaching with KU’s post players, including the 2022 PSAC East Freshman of the Year Abbey Hearn. Hallman came to KU in 2012, after spending two seasons as the lead assistant coach and interim head coach of the men’s basketball team at Division III Piedmont College in Demorest, Ga. Piedmont’s rebuilding effort featured the D3 Hoops Freshman Player of the Year in the South region, the top player in Hallman’s first ever recruiting class.

Hallman also has extensive coaching experience at the high school level including a two-year stint at Upper Perkiomen High School (Pennsburg, Pa.), as both the assistant varsity and junior varsity head coach of the boys' basketball teams. Prior to his time at his alma mater, Hallman was the lead assistant at Perkiomen Valley High School for the girls’ basketball team in Graterford, Pa. He has also coached on the AAU circuit for the Berks-Mont Vipers and as head coach of the Delaware Valley Region for the Keystone State Games.

As a student-athlete, Hallman experienced playing success at the NCAA Division III level. He was a three-year player at Cabrini College where he competed under the direction of former head coach John Dzik.

Hallman earned a Master of Business Administration from Piedmont College in 2012, and a Bachelor of Arts in English/communications from Cabrini College in 2006. While at Cabrini, he served as a staff writer for the student newspaper, Loquitur, and a student ambassador for the admissions office.

Hallman resides in Breinigsville, Pa. with his wife, Katie (a KU graduate), and son, Austin.
