Head Field Hockey Coach at York College

Fost will begin her fourth season as the Spartans head field hockey coach.

The Spartans went 10-10 in 2019 with a number of tight contests. York dropped four one-goal decisions including a trio of overtime losses during the year. York placed four players on the All-CAC team with Dana Meehling and Amanda Boclair earning first-team honors. Meehling and Boclair both earned NFHCA All-Region accolades for the Green and White.

In Fost's second season, she led the Spartans to a 10-8 record and 4-1 in the vaunted CAC. The Spartans would earn a first-round bye and hosted nationally ranked Christopher Newport in the CAC tournament semifinals but would fall 2-1. Fost coached four all-conference players in 2018 with junior Greta Plappert, senior Lindsay Nye, and sophomore Dana Meehling all making first-team along with sophomore Julea Truskey earning second-team accolades. Plappert and Nye also earned first-team All-South Atlantic region honors while Meehling picked up a second-team honor. Plappert was also named a third-team All-American in 2018. Fost has now coached an All-American in back-to-back years after Ali Posey was a second-team selection in 2017.

Fost led the Spartans to a 12-6 record in her debut season as the head coach and took York to the semi-finals of the CAC championships.

Fost came to the Spartan program from Bates College as she spent the last two seasons as the assistant coach for the Bobcats. Prior to her time at Bates, Fost was a graduate assistant coach at Goucher College during the 2013 and 2014 campaigns.

Fost is no stranger to Spartan fans as she was a four-year letter winner at Salisbury University. Fost was a member of the 2009 NCAA Division III National Championship Sea Gull squad. She was a team captain in 2010 and was a four-year member of the CAC All-Academic squad. Fost was a three-time All-Capital Athletic Conference selection as a midfielder for the Sea Gulls. Salisbury went 71-11 during Fost's four years including a perfect 26-0 in CAC play. The Gulls also went 8-3 in the NCAA Tournament during Fost's time in the maroon and gold including the 2009 national championship.

Fost owns a BA of Science in exercise science from Salisbury while she also owns Masters degrees in athletic administration from Goucher (2015) and applied health physiology from Salisbury (2013). Fost owns a NSCA CSCS (National Strength Coaches Association, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) certification. She also owns a USA Field Hockey Level II Coaching accreditation. She also a part of the York College athletic department's stregth and conditioning staff.
