Katrina Carter

Katrina Carter is the Cal Assistant Field Hockey Coach.

A familiar face returned to the California field hockey program for the fall 2021 season when Katrina Carter became an assistant coach for her alma mater.

Competing for the Bears from 2015-19, Carter was named to the America East All-Rookie Team in 2016. A dependable staple on the pitch throughout her tenure in Berkeley, she concluded her collegiate career finishing second on the team in points (22) and goals (10) in 2019.

Carter is also well known on the national level. Since 2018, she's represented her country on the U.S. Developmental National Team after enjoying her time as a member of the U.S. U21 squad from 2017-18.

After graduating from Cal with a degree in marine science, Carter built a strong coaching resume.

Most recently in 2020, Carter served as head varsity coach of the field hockey program at Presentation High School in San Jose. She also boasts a head coaching stint for the USA Field Hockey Futures/Nexus Program, which identifies and develops the nation's top athletes. The Gilroy native also served as a head coach at Bay Area field hockey clinics, a local and inclusive program for prospective field hockey athletes.
