Keith Lambert - Head Men's Soccer Coach - Menlo College

Keith Lambert has spent 10 seasons as a head soccer coach at Menlo. After spending his first four years in Atherton as the head women’s coach, in 2017 he moved to the men’s team.

In Lambert’s time with the men's soccer program, the Oaks have:

  • Amassed a 52-30-7 record, including a 23-15-5 GSAC record
  • Picked up the second GSAC Title in Program History (2019)
  • Clinched the GSAC Regular-Season Title (2023)
  • Been ranked as high as #16 in the national rankings in 2018, the best mark in program history
  • Seen 17 Oaks earn All-GSAC honors, including five NAIA All-Americans
  • Swept the GSAC Conference Awards in 2023: Jo Krumsvik (Player of the Year), Roy Rosenberg (Freshman of the Year), and Keith Lambert (Coach of the Year)
  • Made program history with first National Championship Tournament victory in 2023 (2-1 win over College of Idaho in Miami Gardens, Florida)
  • Seen 16 team members honored as CoSIDA Academic All-District or NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athlete


In his four seasons with the women’s team:

  • Lambert led the Oaks to an 11-5-1 overall record and an 8-4-1 mark in conference play in his inaugural season
  • The following season, the Oaks again qualified for the Cal Pac playoffs, this time as the fourth seed, and stunned the field by winning the CalPac Title
  • In Menlo’s first season in the GSAC, Lambert helped guide the Oaks to the school's first-ever GSAC playoff appearance, advancing to the quarterfinals
  • In 2016, the Oaks returned to the playoffs in the GSAC, becoming the first Menlo team to make consecutive appearances
  • Fifteen players earned All-Conference honors during his tenure
  • Five players earned Scholar-Athlete awards
  • Two players were Honorable Mention All-Americans
  • One player earned Third-Team All-American status

In addition to his duties at Menlo College, Lambert is the head coach of MVLA. He joined the Oaks from CSU East Bay, where he served as first assistant coach on the men’s soccer team for four seasons. He also spent time as an assistant coach for both the men’s and women’s teams at his alma mater, Humboldt State University.

As a player, he spent two seasons at CSU San Bernardino before transferring to Humboldt State. A midfielder for two seasons at Humboldt State, Lambert collected Second-Team All-CCAA and Second-Team All-West Region honors as a senior captain. Following his collegiate career, he spent one season as a member of the Lancaster Rattlers of the Premier Development League.

Lambert is a 2008 graduate of Humboldt State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in Economics. He also earned a Master's in Public Administration at Cal State University East Bay in August, 2014. Lambert holds NSCAA Level II goalkeeping and USSF A licenses, and Premier Coaching Diplomas.

Lambert is a native of Lancaster, California, and currently resides in Atherton with his wife Kimberly and two children.
