Kevin Carroll
Head Coach

Kevin Carroll was appointed the tenth head coach of the Trojans men's basketball team before the 2023-2024 season. In his first year at the helm, the coaching veteran led TNU to one of the biggest turnarounds in college basketball, increasing the team's win total by 14 games from the previous season and tying a school record for wins in their NCAA Division II era (16). Carroll's second season, in 2024-25, was one for the ages as the Trojans set several records, including wins in a season (19), conference wins (14) and became the first Trevecca team to be ranked in the South Region Poll.
Before joining Trevecca, The 25-year coach veteran spent time at the NCAA Division I, II and high school levels, including 10 years as a head coach. He most recently served as an assistant at Lipscomb University, helping recruit and develop all-conference players. As a head coach, Carroll led Maryville University-St. Louis (2010-2017) through the transition from NCAA Division III to NCAA Division II on his way to setting a program record for wins (23) while achieving the school's first victory over a nationally ranked opponent and securing the first 20-win season in 35 years. As the head coach at St. Pius X Catholic High School (2003-2006), Carroll helped turn the program around from a 6-win team in year one to a 24-win team in year three while winning only the second region championship in the fifty-year history of the school.
Carroll began his coaching career after playing at Berry College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Education. He later completed a Master of Arts in Health Sciences at the University of Alabama.
