Kevin Driggs
Camp Director
Kevin Driggs brings a wealth of experience, energy, and a proven track record of developing successful soccer players and teams to St. Mary’s University.
The Rattlers went 12-5-4 in 2022 and saw both Megan Copeland and Juni Ejere receive All-Region and Lone Star All-Conference First-Team honors. The team advanced to the Lone Star Conference Tournament semifinals and eventually lost to LSC rival, West Texas A&M 2-1 in the frigid NCAA Tournament First Round. The youth of the team also shone through as both Shelby Paniagua and Sydney Varela were named to the All-Freshmen team, while sophomore goalkeeper Rebecca Difronzo and midfielder Love’ Tovar were tabbed on the All-Conference Third-Team.
Since taking over as head women’s soccer coach, Driggs has helped establish the Rattlers as a consistent contender in the Lone Star Conference. In 2022, St. Mary’s posted a 12-5-4 record, advanced to the Lone Star Conference Tournament semifinals, and earned a spot in the NCAA Tournament. The season was highlighted by numerous individual honors, including All-Region and First-Team All-Conference selections for Megan Copeland and Juni Ejere.
Driggs has also made player development a major part of his program. During his time at St. Mary’s, numerous Rattlers have earned All-Conference, All-Region, All-Tournament, and All-Freshman recognition, showcasing the growth and success of his players both on and off the field.
Before joining St. Mary’s, Driggs spent five seasons at West Texas A&M, helping the Lady Buffs become one of the top programs in the Lone Star Conference and South Central Region. In 2018, he helped lead the team to a regional championship, a Lone Star Conference Championship, and a program-best 14-game unbeaten streak.
Driggs’ coaching background extends well beyond the college level. At La Cueva High School, he led the boys’ soccer program to two New Mexico 6A State Championships and previously worked as an assistant under legendary coach Larry Waters. He also spent seven years with New Mexico Rush Soccer Club as the Girls Academy Director, giving him extensive experience working with young players and helping athletes reach their full potential.
With a USSF “A” License and a US Soccer NY License, Driggs combines high-level coaching experience with a passion for helping players improve, compete, and enjoy the game. His goal is to create an environment where players are challenged, supported, and encouraged to become better soccer players every time they step on the field.
Driggs lives in San Antonio with his wife, Jacqueline, and their three children.
