Kevin Pineda

Kevin Pineda is the assistant coach for CSUN Women’s Soccer and serves as a lead coach for Next Athletes and Nike Soccer Camps. Coach Kevin holds a USSF B license in coaching.

Kevin Pineda is in his first season as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator to the CSUN Women's Soccer team in 2024. Prior to CSUN, Pineda served as a video analyst with Seattle Reign FC where he focused on comprehensive analysis, contributing significantly to the team's tactical planning. He joined the club as a data analyst in 2022, working closely with head coach Laura Harvey on in-depth data analysis to support the team's strategy and performance. During his time with the club, the Reign won the NWSL Shield in 2022 and appeared in the NWSL championship in 2023.

Previously, Pineda spent three seasons at LMU where he took on multiple roles on the coaching staff. He began his stint with the Lions as director of operations in the fall of 2019 before he was elevated to volunteer assistant coach then finally, an assistant coach. With the Lions, Pineda contributed to all aspects of the program including recruiting, coaching, scouting, video analyst and marketing and branding.

Pineda has gained significant coaching experience at the club level. He spent time as the head coach of Beach FC in the Girls Academy where he helped develop young talent from 2014-21. He has also served as an assistant coach for the Los Angeles Harbor College women's soccer team along with completing a stint as Varsity and JV coach at Torrance High School.

Pineda graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a degree in sociology.
