Kristen Simpson

Head coach Diana Cantu has announced the addition of Kristen Simpson as an assistant coach for the Maryland women’s golf team, announced in early September, 2014.
The 2008 Virginia stroke Play Champion and two-time Virginia State Amateur runner-up, Simpson has served as the assistant coach at Old Dominion for both the men’s and women’s golf programs since 2011. In that role, Simpson assisted head coach Andrew Crabtree in all aspects of the program, including practice plans, travel arrangements, academic advising, fundraising and recruiting. Simpson also helped organize and run the ‘Spivey Rentals Golf Classic’ which raised over $41,000 in the 2012 and 2013.
