Kyle Schwan
Co-Director

Kyle Schwan is the founder of Game Ready and lead skill instructor for Powerhouse Hoops. Before joining Powerhouse Hoops, Kyle Schwan spent five seasons on the sidelines with three different Division I Basketball Programs including Northern Illinois University, Arizona State University, and Santa Clara University.
In his time at Santa Clara, Schwan saw the Broncos post 24+ victories for the second time in three years in 2012-13. Collecting a 26-12 record, the Broncos won the College Basketball Invitational (CBI) post-season tournament after winning the CollegeInsider.com Tournament in 2011. Santa Clara collected two first-team All-WCC members in 2013 in Marc Trasolini and Kevin Foster, the second-all-time leading scorer in West Coast Conference history. As part of that graduating class, three of the four seniors on the roster went on to sign professional contracts in Europe, and all worked with Kyle to prepare themselves for that process.
Before joining the college coaching ranks, Schwan played college basketball in his home state South Dakota, and is an alumni of Northern State University with former Powerhouse Hoops trainer, Sundance Wicks.
Kyle was a member of the legendary coach Don Meyer’s program at Northern State University for six seasons (two redshirt years due to injury). He was with the Wolves Coach Meyer’s 800th career win and then his 903rd record-breaking career win. He led the Wolves in assists his senior year, and was apart of over 141 total wins in his time at NSU. He graduated from Northern State University in 2008 with Bachelor's Degree in History and a minor in Coaching. He also worked on his Master's degree in Educational Studies while playing his final two years at NSU.
A three-time All-Conference pick in basketball and First Team All-State in 2003 at Roncalli High School, he averaged 23 ppg while guiding his team to 2002 District and Region championships. He was also a member of the student council, mentors, National Honor Society and Academic All-State selection.
