Lacey Beaty is an experienced lacrosse coach with over 18 years of experience as a player. She joins the Bruins coaching staff in her first season under head coach Natalie Harrington, serving primarily as a goalie coach.

Beaty took over for the Beaverton High School Women’s Lacrosse organization in 2009 when they were a new and struggling team, with a record as one of the worst in the state. Within a few years, the Beaverton Beavers attended their first playoff game, and since has become regionally respected team.

Beaty took a break from coaching high school lacrosse in 2014, focusing more of her time as an elected City Councilor for Beaverton, OR. She still stays active, as a coach and representative on the board of directors of Lacrosse For All, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing the sport of lacrosse to kids who may not be able to play otherwise. Additionally, she is the President of the Oregon Girls Lacrosse Association and plays with Portland Purple, a local post-collegiate women’s team.

Academically, she is a graduate of Warner Pacific College with a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership, and a posses a Bachelors degree in Political Science from Oregon State University.

A native of Poway, California, Beaty helped her team win the state championship title in women’s lacrosse as Poway High School’ goal keeper before joining the Army in 2002. Beaty served as a combat medic in Operation Iraqi freedom. Beaty is now the School-Based Health Manager at Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center where she has the privilege of helping student’s access health care.
