La'Keisha Sutton

La’Keisha Sutton is the Varsity Girls Co-Head Basketball Coach at George School. Prior to this, she was known as 'Swish' and was a member of the world famous Harlem Globetrotters 2018 Basketball Team and former overseas professional basketball player. Before joining the Globetrotters, she played professionally in in Taiwan, Finland, Ecuador, Germany, and Bulgaria. Sutton was also named WNBA Prospect during her time at University of Southern Carolina, being a top guard in the SEC in scoring and assists.

In addition to being a professional basketball player, La’Keisha added author to her resume with the release of her book “From The Projects To Fan Favorite”. She is a motivational speaker, and a brand strategist. She enjoys empowering youth, volunteering at community events, and reading. Her nickname is “Fan Favorite”.

At USC, she helped lead the Gamecocks to their first ever Sweet 16 appearance in 2012 and earned awards there as well. She was a unanimous selection for the All SEC freshman team in 2008-2009, after leading the Gamecocks in scoring in conference play. She finished her career with 1,300 plus points and over 350 plus assists. She also earned a spot on the ALL SEC defensive team as well. She graduated USC with a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Communications.

While in high school, La’Keisha was recruited by several Ivy League Schools, and Division I universities to continue her basketball career. She received a full athletic scholarship to play for Dawn Staley, a three-time Olympic gold medalist, at the University of South Carolina.

La’Keisha Sutton was born and raised in Trenton, NJ and is a true example of a scholar-athlete. She was an All-County basketball player for four years in high school and finished top in her class. She became the first athlete in school history male or female to win NJ Gatorade Player of The Year Award in 2008. La’Keisha was just 10 points shy of 2,000 points, and received several awards while attending Trenton Catholic Academy in Hamilton, NJ .
