Laura Bernhard started her lacrosse career in the Bay Area and has been involved as a player, coach, and ref for over 14 years. In college she was a defender for the nationally-ranked club program at UC Santa Barbara. After graduating early Laura began coaching, first as an assistant at Laguna Blanca then as the Varsity Head Coach at Berkeley High where she led the team to NCS playoff berths both years and was awarded the Pursuing Victory with Honor award from the CIF. After a brief stint in North Carolina for graduate school she moved to Los Angeles in 2010. Since then she has been an assistant coach for UCLA's women's club program—a team that made it to the National Championship game in 2011, to the Tournament in 2012, and is currently 10-1 this season. She is also a coach with Team OC, an elite club team in Orange County, and has coached in various clinics and camps throughout California.
