Lauren Wells Uc Colorado Springs Nike Lacrosse Camps

A veteran of women’s lacrosse in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, Lauren Wells joined the University of Colorado Colorado Springs women’s lacrosse program as an assistant coach in August 2018.

A four-year member of the Colorado Mesa University women’s lacrosse program, Wells brings more than 18 years of lacrosse playing and coaching experience. After completing her eligibility in 2014, Wells helped the Mavericks for the 2014-15 season as a Goalkeeper Specialist Coach, assisting in goalkeeper training regime and coaching the defensive and attack positions. Since the fall of 2015, Wells has served as the Head Junior Varsity Coach and Assistant Varsity Coach for the Grandview High School girls lacrosse teams.

A two-time RMAC Defensive Player of the Week and a three-year member of the RMAC Honorable Mention team, Wells was named the CMU Defensive Player of the Year in 2011 and the Mavericks Most Valuable Player in 2014. She was named team captain all four years and was the starting goalkeeper all four years (2011-14). In her senior season at CMU, Wells was named the team’s Defensive Player of the Game four times and the team’s Most Valuable Player of the Game three times.

Wells graduated from CMU in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice. She was named to the Dean’s List in 2012 and 2014, and to the President’s List in 2013.
