Dunne Lewis

Lewis Dunne joined the Notre Dame College men's soccer staff in 2020.

At Lake Erie College, Dunne started as a Graduate Assistant Coach with the men's soccer program in 2017. He was promoted to Assistant Coach in 2019. During his time with the Storm, LEC went from five wins in 2017, to 18 victories in 2019. The 2019 team was ranked as high as No. 4 in the country, became regular season champions in the GMAC and qualified for the NCAA Division II Tournament.

Dunne was an outstanding player at Urbana University, prior to coaching. As a junior in 2015, he was named D2CCA All-Atlantic Region First Team, All-MEC Second Team and OSCA All-Ohio First Team. After his senior season, he earned NSCAA First Team All-American, D2CCA All-Atlantic Region First Team and All-MEC First Team honors.

Following his college career, Dunne was a captain with the Dayton Dutch Lions in the Premier Development League in 2016. He then played for Cleveland SC in the NPSL in 2018.

He was hired as assistant coach of Cleveland SC in 2019, winning the Rustbelt Conference and the Midwest Regional Championship before losing to Miami SC, the eventual national champions, in the national semifinal.

The next season, Dunne was hired as the head coach of Cleveland SC in the NPSL. The team became the 2021 Rustbelt Champions and Midwest Regional Champions, before losing in the national semifinal to Denton Diablo, the eventual national champions. Cleveland SC had a record of 11-1-2. He was named Rustbelt Conference Coach of the Year for 2021.

Dunne is a native of Ellsmere Port, England. He graduated from Urbana with a bachelor's degree in sports management and earned a master's degree in business administration from Lake Erie in 2019.

"We are really excited to appoint Lewis as an assistant coach for Notre Dame College men's soccer," Head Coach Carl Nolan said. "He brings with him a wealth of experience from Urbana University, Cleveland Soccer Club and Lake Erie College. He was a tremendous captain when he played in the MEC and has transitioned into becoming a great young coach."
