Lindsay McNall

Camp Director

Lindsay McNall - Camp Director

Lindsay McNall '17 returns to her alma mater for her fourth season as a Saint Michael's men's and women's swimming & diving assistant coach with the 2024-25 season.

A Colchester native, McNall has coached youths through the EDGE Swim Club in Williston since 2016. She continues to work as the developmental age group lead coach but added head coaching responsibilities of the summer swim team in 2021, seeing more than 70% of her athletes improve their times in at least one event. McNall recruited nearly a dozen swimmers to the year-round swim club during the 2021 calendar year.

McNall capped a legendary Purple Knight career by becoming the first swimmer in College history to qualify for an NCAA Championship during her senior year (2016-17), ultimately earning a College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) All-America honorable mention in the 100-yard backstroke. She was named 2016-17 Northeast-10 Conference Swimmer of the Year and earned the NE10 Scholar-Athlete Sport Excellence Award for swimming & diving thanks to winning the 100 and 200 back and taking second in the 100-yard butterfly at that year's NE10 Championship.

McNall, who graduated with a school-record 102 event victories, was also a captain as a senior and graduated with her name on seven school records, having set four individual marks alone at the 2016-17 NE10 Championship, playing a hand in two additional relay records at the meet. McNall was a three-time NE10 Championship champion, a three-time New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association (NEISDA) Championship champion, and reached three NCAA Championship B cuts during her career. She qualified for five NE10 All-Conference laurels, two CSCAA Individual Scholar All-America nods, and a pair of NE10 Academic All-Conference citations. McNall was the winner of the College's NCAA Woman of the Year award as a senior.

A Dean's List student, McNall graduated cum laude in 2017 with a degree in philosophy. She is working toward her master of arts in teaching degree for curriculum and instruction at the University of Vermont, with an anticipated 2023 completion date. McNall works as a math interventionist at Stowe Middle School. On Sept. 23, 2022, she was inducted into the Saint Michael's Athletic Hall of Fame.
