Lindsey Llewellyn is the Head Volleyball Coach at Washington & Jefferson College.

Lindsey Llewellyn enters her second season as head volleyball coach at W&J.

The Presidents finished with an 11-12 overall record in 2022. That marked a eight-win improvement for the program in year one for Llewellyn. Freshman outside hitter Faith Fetsko, Adrianna Sacramento and junior middle hitter Lizzie Carmichael earned All-PAC honors following the season.

Llewellyn was named head volleyball coach at W&J on January 24, 2022. Following Llewellyn's first semester with the program, the squad earned The United State Marine Corps (USMC) and the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award for the 2021-2022 academic year.

Llewellyn came to W&J after spending the past two years serving as a graduate assistant at NCAA Division II member West Liberty University.

Llewellyn is no stranger to the Presidents’ Athletic Conference, as she was an All-PAC outside hitter at Bethany College. Llewellyn was a four-year letterwinner, who played for a pair of PAC Championship squads. She registered 668 kills and 239 digs in 108 career matches at Bethany. The Bison claimed PAC titles and reached the NCAA Tournament in both 2016 and 2018. Llewellyn served as a team captain for Bethany in 2019, where she played for three-time PAC Coach of the Year Courtney Hilyer.

During her time as a graduate assistant at West Liberty, she worked alongside head coach Riley Schenk, who also was a former Division III student-athlete at Mount Union.

West Liberty compiled a two-year overall record of 28-17 and an 18-8 mark in Mountain East Conference play during Llewellyn’s time with the Hilltoppers. WLU registered a 21-13 overall record and an 11-5 mark in conference play in 2021. The Hilltoppers defeated Davis & Elkins in the opening round of the MEC Tournament before falling in four sets to eventual champion Wheeling University in the semifinals. Followign the season, Schenk and Llewellyn saw middle blocker Madison Clayton become WLU’s first NCAA Volleyball All-American.

The Hilltoppers finished 7-4 overall and qualified for the MEC Tournament during an abbreviated 2020-21 season. The highlight of Llewellyn’s tenure at WLU came when the Hilltoppers upset No. 15 ranked Wheeling University on March 5, 2021.

Additionally, Llewellyn has club coaching experience at Ohio Valley Volleyball Company.

A native of Vermilion, Ohio, who starred at Norwalk St. Paul High School, Llewellyn graduated from Bethany with a degree in Early Childhood Education while minoring in Special Education. She earned master’s degree in Education from West Liberty in May 2022.
