Mary Moore - Camp Director

Mary Moore is the Head Field Hockey Coach at Adelphi University

Mary Moore enters her fifth season as head coach with the Adelphi University field hockey team in 2021, after being elevated to the post following the 2016 season, where she was an assistant to the now-retired Gloria O'Connor.

As an assistant in 2016, Moore helped the Panthers to a 13-6 overall record, and another appearance in the Northeast-10 Conference tournament.

In the 2019 season, Moore led the team to their longest winning streak (10) and highest Penn Monto/NFHCA DII Coaches' Poll ranking of sixth, since the field hockey program's return to Adelphi in 2008.

A Miller Place, N.Y. native, Moore played four years of Division I field hockey at the Central Michigan University from 2011-14, culminating in All-MAC Second Team, All-MAC Tournament Team and Academic All-MAC selection as a senior.

Over the course of her Chippewa career, Moore helped the team to its first regular-season MAC title in 13 years, played in 74 games in the midfield and was the team's leading scorer in her junior season in 2013, when she led the conference in game-winning goals. Culminating her career as a senior captain, she was Central Michigan's Player of the Year in 2014. She graduated with a bachelor of science in biology, with a concentration in natural resources.

She has had the opportunity to coach at both the high school and travel team levels, coaching with Strong Island Field Hockey, Futures Region 4 Level 1 and Miller Place.

Prior to her collegiate playing days, Moore was a 2010 Empire State team selection at Miller Place High School in Suffolk County. A decorated high school product, she was a two-time All State and three-time All-County pick and a two-time Top 10 scorer on Long Island.
