Matt Stephens
Camp Director
Matt Stephens was named Head Coach of the Assumption College women's golf program in August of 2017 and currently serves as the General Manager and Director of Golf Operations at the Blackstone National Golf Club.
He started working at Blackstone in 2006 as the Head Golf Professional and quickly moved his way up to a managerial position. Prior to his position at the Blackstone National Golf Club, Stephens was an instructor at the Cyprian Keyes Golf Club. At Cyprian Keyes, he organized tournaments, golfing leagues and membership services, while also working with their nationally recognized Junior Golf Program.
Stephens previously served as the head golf coach at Anna Maria College from 2006-2013, where the AMCATS competed in the always tough Commonwealth Coast Conference.
Collegiately, Stephens played at Worcester State University, where he was part of the most successful team in program history. During the 1983-84 season, his team finished third at the NCAA Division III Championships, the second-best finish ever by a New England based school. He was named All-New England as his team finished as the top team in the region. In 2006 the 1983-84 team was inducted into the Worcester State Athletics Hall of Fame.
