McKenzie Coulson
Camp Director
Directing camp this summer at George Fox University is assistant coach McKenzie Coulson. She has been involved with the Oregon lacrosse community for over ten years.
She graduated from Lakeridge High School in 2003, where she was a three sport athlete. Coulson got her start in coaching at her alma mater in 2008 wher she coached the JV program for three years before taking over the head coaching position at Tigard High School. She coached at Tigard for five years until taking the George Fox Assistant position in 2014-15.
Coulson is currently an English and Leadership teacher at Tigard High School. After returning from Tanzania where she taught English to rural secondary students, Coulson was hired at Tigard in 2009. She was elected as department chair for the past three years and helped facilitate curriculum changes throughout the English Department. She has also been a member of the girls basketball program at Tigard up until last year. Coulson is an active member of the athletic and academic communities of Tigard and George Fox.
She earned her B.A. from Washington State University in 2007 and masters in education from Portland State University in 2008.
