Melissa Hearlihy
Coach Hearlihy just entered her 34th year as a Varsity Head Coach. Her career began at Alemany High School in 1985 and in 2000 after 15 years, 3 section titles, and a record of 345-89 transitioned to Harvard-Westlake. Her combined coaching record is 717-258 which ranks her as the third winningest girls coach in California history.
Her team has reached the Open Division Southern Section finals the past two seasons and 12 finals overall capturing 6 championships. In 2010, the Harvard-Westlake Wolverines finished 33-1 winning the Div. IV section and state titles and Coach Hearlihy was named Cal-Hi “State Coach of the Year”. Her career accolades include CIF “Coach of the Year” 6 times, Daily News and L.A. Times Area “Coach of the Year” 5 Times.
