Michael Dedee

Michael Dedee is the Head Volleyball Coach at Roberts Wesleyan University.

Mike Dedee was named the first head coach of the Roberts Wesleyan men’s volleyball program in May 2023.

Dedee grew up in East Irondequoit, N.Y., and played volleyball and tennis at Bishop Kearney High School. He enjoyed a standout volleyball career at Genesee Community College in Batavia before moving on to play at Division I University of California at Irvine. Dedee earned his Bachelor’s degree in psychology from UC Irvine and his Master’s in social work from the University of California, Long Beach.

Dedee spent several years in the social work field. He started his volleyball coaching career with the Pace Bootlegger program in Rochester and has also served as the junior varsity coach at Webster Schroeder High School.

Dedee, who is also a professional magician, lives in Webster with his wife, Tracey. They have two sons, Michael and Matthew.
