Camp Director

Michaela Ahlenslager

Michaela Ahlenslager is the Varsity Volleyball Coach at Salesian College Preparatory.

Coach Michaela Ahlenslager is an alum of Salesian College Preparatory, and after playing in college, she knew that she wanted to give back as a coach. Coach Michaela played MB/OH for Feather River College in northern California, and then transferred to the NCAA D1 level at Marshall University in West Virginia, where she earned a double major – Bachelor of Science degrees in Health Sciences and History. Entering her 4th season as the head coach at Salesian, Coach Michaela is optimistic about the future of the program. “Last year we made it further than we have gone in 12 years, it is really special to be a part of.” The Pride made it to the first round of the CIF State Playoffs this year, and have their sights set on winning a state title in the near future.

One of the reasons Michaela enjoys coaching volleyball, she said, “Coaching is teaching, and I love helping players learn the game, whether it’s serving overhand for the first time… or learning to tool the block.” She followed, “The sense of accomplishment they feel and the confidence it brings them makes all the hard work worth it. I love what playing a sport can do for girls as far as confidence, sense of self, and leadership skills, and I support the process and love being a part of it.
