Mike Allen

Mike Allen is the Head Women's Basketball Coach at De Anza College and is a former professional athlete, Coach of the Year, NBCAA 3x All-American, and NBCAA National Championship MVP. Coach Allen brings a wealth of experience, passion, and love not only for the game but for every player he mentors and motivates.

Coach Allen leads a successful basketball program year round reaching out to the youth with his basketball leagues that have grown to well over 1200+ participants each year.

Mike has been featured in Sports Illustrated, SportsStars, San Jose Mercury as well as many other media outlets for his work with players and communities across the country. He was also was a 2x leading scorer in the Nation for Bible Colleges (27.4PPG, 7.9RPG) and was a key player in winning 3 National Championships while in college.

Coach Allen brings a wealth of experience to De Anza College and Nike Basketball Camps:

  • 28 years as basketball camp director, trainer, and basketball league director for Mike Allen Sports, US Sports Camps and Nike Basketball
  • 12 years as Director of Player Development and Basketball League Director in partnership with the Golden State Warriors/ Junior Warriors Youth Basketball/ Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA
  • 12 years as Director of Player Development/Head Coach of Ballin' Ambassadors Travel Basketball Club (AAU & NCAA Certified Tournaments)
  • 7 years as a semi professional basketball player in Europe, Asia & Africa
  • 7 years as a Varsity Boys head coach at Gunderson High School
  • 6 years as a Varsity Girls head coach at The King's Academy
  • 1 year as women's assistant basketball coach for semi-professional team the San Jose Spiders
  • 1 year as men's assistant basketball coach for second division professional team MTK (Poland)
