Nick Charriez returns for his third year on the coaching staff of the Johns Hopkins men's and women's swim teams in 2017-18. He joined the Blue Jays after two years as an assistant coach at Connecticut College.
In his first year at Hopkins, the men’s and women’s swim teams placed 4th and 5th, respectively, at the NCAA Championships. The women’s team’s finish was remarkable in that there were only 8 women’s team members qualified for the meet, out of a possible 18. In 2017, the Men’s team again placed 4th and women’s team scored another Top-10 finish at 9th. Evan Holder won the 2017 NCAA title in a new NCAA Record of 1:36.42, and placed 2nd in the 200 IM with the 2nd fastest performance in Division III history with a 1:44.90.
Nick has worked numerous swim camps throughout the country, including camps at UVA, Stanford and Johns Hopkins.
