Nick Goody is a former professional baseball pitcher who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the New York Yankees, Cleveland Guardians (formerly Indians), and Texas Rangers. Born on July 6, 1991, in Orlando, Florida, Goody attended Louisiana State University (LSU), where he played college baseball and established himself as a dominant relief pitcher.
He was selected by the New York Yankees in the sixth round of the 2012 MLB Draft and made his MLB debut in 2015. Goody became a key bullpen piece for the Cleveland Guardians after being acquired in 2016, posting a career-best 2.80 ERA in 2017. Known for his sharp slider and high strikeout rate, he carved out a role as a dependable reliever. After his tenure with Cleveland, he pitched for the Texas Rangers in 2020 before transitioning out of MLB.
